Microsoft Flight Simulator is the most realistic flight experience available on the PC, and now it's finally coming to Xbox One.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to get helicopters, gliders, more classic planes, and a bunch of extra free content when the Anniversary Edition arrives as a free add-on for owners in November.
Since Microsoft Flight Simulator launched in 2020, helicopters and gliders have been "the most requested enhancements by our community," according to team lead Jorg Neumann. Players will finally get to take to the skies in these new vehicle types when they arrive in the Anniversary Edition on November 11th as a free update. More new vehicles are coming too, including "true-to-life airliner," the Airbus A-310, as well as seven additional historical aircraft from the early 20th century.
A post over on Xbox Wire outlines all of the new content coming in the Anniversary Edition in November, as well a another free update available now that adds photogrammetry detail to five German cities — Bonn, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, and Hanover — meaning you can pay a visit to Koelnmesse for your very own virtual Gamescom trip. Coming in the Anniversary Edition update in November is the following content:
- 4 classic commercial airports
- 10 glider airports
- 12 new aircraft
- 14 heliports
- 20 classic missions from the franchise’s past
